Jeremy goes Linsane in Game 5

Hello everyone. I don’t know about you guys, but I was super pumped throughout game 5. I was expecting the worst (i.e. the usual McHale bullshit), but I had a gut feeling that Lin would, well, go LINSANE. It was potentially his last game of the year and given the opportunities he had prior and how he was thrown under the bus by McHale, I just had a gut feeling that we would see some version of Linsanity. See my tweet from Tuesday (https://twitter.com/jeffyam/status/461141235861041152) When I tuned in and saw Lin playing at the 6:40 mark in the first quarter, that’s when I shifted my optimism. I immediately thought, “OMG, McHale subbed him in early! What happened?!” It wasn’t until later that I realized that Beverley was dealing with a fever and flu. Anyhow, the rest was history. Here is a video that I made just for fun. Enjoy!

If Beverley recovers, I don’t expect much tonight. I predict the Rockets to lose unless Harden is successful at drawing fouls and gets 20 FTAs.  Anyways, let’s go LIN!

  • Unless Lin is allowed to be THE floor general, I expect the Rockets to lose. We’ll see what happens. Maybe Harden will go Linsane tonight.

I think we are on the same page here. No Lin no win. Here’s the latest news about Bev:

It looks like Bev is playing hot again (pun intended). This fits perfectly into McHale lin-eccentric playbook: ride the hot hand! McHale will ride Bev until he overheats. I really like Bev and I feel bad for him.

The Blazers will be ready for Lin, so McHale will counter by not playing Lin. This will confuse the hell out the Blazers. So may be the Rockets will win tonight after all!

This is my anti-jinx for game 6. Allez allez allez, JL7!

Sorry my anti-jinx did not work.
McHale did not trust Lin and the result is as predicted.
I am sad for Lin to have to play under this sorry of a coach.
